So many new things are happening for you little man! I think you have a "first"almost every day (OK, maybe that's an exaggeration...) This month we have seen you start eating, get your first teeth, sleep through the night, your first trip to the US, first snow, first New Year's. Its been a busy busy month!
EAT
And so it has begun. You are eating solid foods. So far you have eaten bananas, apples, avocado, and oat cereal. Apples are coming up the big winner, its the only food you have finished yet... looks like you're already developing a sweet tooth. Next we'll try sweet potatoes and squash... gotta get some veggies in you. You're still eating 5oz bottles of breast milk and have started drinking formula at night.

PLAY
As long as Mommy and Daddy are close by, you will sit happily for 20 minutes and play on your play mat with your toys. You have a brand new "cellphone" that you got for Christmas and it is definitely you favorite. You also love to play on our bed and I get the biggest smiles when you get there. We always play there before Daddy comes home. We have been reading books and you have been working on your crawling skills... You're not exactly mobile yet but you manage to get yourself to whatever has caught your attention. You have a bit of a crawl and flop thing going on... You get up on all fours, crawl about 1 step and then throw yourself belly-flop style in the direction you want to go. Its pretty amazing. One day you managed to get across the bed and pull one of your books right off the shelf. I'm sure I'll be writing all about crawling and sitting by the next month update.
You got fussy at the end of the month and I have no doubt that one of your upper teeth is about to break through.
SLEEP
This was a difficult month for sleep. We were finishing up our time in the US and just as you got in sync with the time there, we headed home. Our first week back was filled with many midnight (or later) 2 hour play times. But by the last week of the month you were back and track and possibly better than before. When you sleep is our bed with us, you don't make a peep, not even to eat, for up to 10 hours! You let us sleep in 2 weekend days until 11am! And when you do wake up at night, you are so snuggly and sweet that its hard to be mad at you... you just want kisses and hugs. We're trying to get you to sleep through the night in the crib and you're slowly getting better at it. You always start the night there and once or twice you've lasted the whole night there!
We love you so much little man and you continue to amaze us everyday.
